Disbanded after our Haloween show with the loss of Rob and Scott due to differences. Just finished our halloween weekend. Show went pretty well and important lessons learned. Like the need for a full pa and don't go cheap. Anyway, here are some pics that Shaun and Jenn took when my pos free camera worked. First are of Shaun and Jenn.
I'd like to welcome Neil into the band as our new lead singer. Neil has been a great addition and is allowing us to take the band to a new level. We will be recording our demo this sunday and will hopefully be distributing that around to bars here soon. Also in the news, I have a bigger bass trap so people can actually hear me now when the volume goes up. Another open mic at Rubbies down and probably our best performance to date sound wise and stage presence. We came up one set after another local band that put on a phenomenal performance, and playing another Three Doors Down song we had originally in our set of 3. Stage set, said and done, came down to Alien Ant Farm's cover of Smooth Criminal, Three Doors Down's Duck and Run, and Metallica's For Whom the Bell Tolls. Crowd response said it all. They were rocking it out, pounding on tables and singing along......minus the guy yelling Skynyrd between every song. I have a whole new batch of pics that i will be pulling up and also a link to download an mp3 of Rage Against the Machine's Killing In the Name. Any thoughts anyone has or if you just want to give me a yell I can be contacted here Jeremy. I have removed the mp3 from my site to free up some space. If you are interested in hearing it, please email me and I'll get it to you.
I had to get a better picture of Scott in here. Poor guy is a great drummer and our backbone, yet he is always hidden behind me or the row of metal surrounding him. So here is Scott in the office.
Me being hard for the camera, y0. First gig went rather well in my opinion. We had some glitches in the first set but all came off a load of fun. Chris and Rob wailed on the solos. Scott threw us for a loop with when he starts going off at the beginning of For Whom the Bell Tolls. It was also a crash course in using a PA. Having only fooled with one ages ago I was trying to take feedback from Jake and Jenn on sound levels out in the crowd. We had originally planned to set up at 12 and sound test but the owner had promised the regulars that they wouldn't allow it until later which had us sound testing at 9:30. Needless to say this didn't help us at all, but still came off decent. Jake had problems hearing the drums in the back so we'll probably be dropping a dynamic mic above the set or mic the snare since the basses were mic'd and heard fine. Jenn said up front the set was heard fine so I'm guessing it just didn't carry as well to the back without having the speakers "aiming the sound" throw the crowd. As soon as I get my hands on a dvd copy of the gig, I will start uploading songs. Be it I'm limited on space here, I might have to alternate on a time basis to get more then 1 song to you guys. To those that came out and saw us, thanks a ton for your support and we hope to keep rocking for you. The following are pictures from our last open mic.
